Naruto woke up looking around him. That was…an odd dream. Not a bad one but…just odd. Naruto hopped out of his sleeping bag, then noticed Sasuke wasn’t in bed nor in his room. He decided to shrug it off and began taking off his shirt.

Li'l Red in Da Hood

Once upon a time, there live a girl named Li'l Red, and she lived in da hood. When she was younger, Li'l Red began indulging in a bad "habit." This "habit," however, wasn't fully satisfying. What REALLY got her was snagging a little extra from her dear old Granny. You see, Li'l Red's Granny was her personal "supplier," and, as Li'l Red saw it, Granny wouldn't notice her "supply" disappearing.

One day, a wolf passed by Grany's house and saw her and Li'l Red "exchanging." This caused the voices within the wolf's head to become enraged. Why should that old hag and that useless girl be allowed to indulge when he was not? The voices told the wolf her should eat the Granny as well as Li'l Red so he could take their "supply" for himself. As the wolf was arguing with his voices, Li'l Red emerged from the house and stumbled away. The wolf, having decided against following her for the moment, waited for the old Granny to come out as well.

Granny, having noticed her "supply" dwindling, set off from her home to pay a visit to her "manufacturer." She stumbled to his home and made the much needed "exchange." As she was turning her key in the lock of her front door, the wolf sprang out and gobbled her up, leaving her door unlocked and her "supply" on the ground. He decided the best way to capture the little brat was to disguise himself as the old woman and hide inside.

When Li'l Red came knocking at Granny's door, the wolf was ready. With his pupils dilated, voices screaming, and stomach growling, he lunged at Li'l Red. She stumbled aside as she realized the wolf had eaten her Granny. Li'l Red quickly grabbed a sharp knife from the kitchen and cut her Granny from within the wolf's gluttonous belly. She and Granny ran, looking for the woodsman who was cutting down trees nearby. The woodsman carefully stitched the wolf back up and they were all hauled off to rehab.

This is an assignment I did for my advanced English class. We were supposed to take a common fairytale, in this case Little Red Ridding Hood, and tell it from a different point of view or twist it/change it in some way. I chose to make Li'l Red a klepto drug addict, the wolf a schitzo drug addict, and dear old Granny is a dealer. The tricky part of the assignment was getting my point across while still keeping the story "school appropriate." I ended up getting 100% along with 5 points extra credit. Hope you enjoy!
